A Hearty Thank You

The Larping in Color Team wants to bid a fond farewell and thank you to Christopher Tang (he/him), who is stepping down as Chief Editor of LINC.

Chris has been with us since the beginning and you’ve likely seen his work in curating content on our socials, managing our blog content, or representing the cause at our in-person events.

We wish him well in his other endeavors and look forward to continuing to work with him as his capacity on the LINC Board.

We won an award!

Kaza Marie (she/her) recently hosted an event called "Kaza Creator Awards 2023", where we were nominated by followers of Kaza's content, and won the award for 'Best LARP Resource"! Thanks to those folks who nominated us and Kaza for the recognition!

Coming Soon

Larping in Color has several projects we’re working on for this year.

Keep an eye out on our website for a new blog post. Patrons get it first, but it will be available for everyone soon!
We will be sending out additional details for this year’s NPEL Program. You can review last year’s program here. Expect this year’s NPEL to run much the same as last year as well as an official call for applications soon.
This fall we will be hosting another fundraiser!

As some of you may have noticed, we had a bit of a workshop hiatus. This fall we intend to come back strong! Our upcoming workshops are listed below. Keep an eye out for more topics on our website.

Affiliate Events

The DisabiliTease Festival is a multi-day festival that showcases performers with disabilities in the areas of burlesque, cirque, cabaret, and drag. This annual event works to challenge and overturn the notion that having a disability decreases or interferes with a person’s desirability, allure, or competence as a performer.

The DisabiliTease Festival will be showcasing previous years’ shows from July 7-23 via Zoom. Join the watch parties, live chat, cheer, tip the performers, and enjoy the community with other party-goers.

These watch parties are a great opportunity for audience members to watch shows they missed or couldn’t get enough of. It’s also a time for performers to receive more love and appreciation for their work,

Purchase general tickets for $15 or use the “Pay What You Can” option to choose any amount. All watch party proceeds will go towards the hybrid 2024 Festival.

Although many LARPs are starting to be attentive to how real-world religions may inspire problematic setting choices or be appropriated for the sake of storytelling, many of us still have work to do on this front. For example, do you note major religious holidays when booking? Or provide food accommodations for those observing various religious practices?
