LINC Status Update

You may notice that our bi-monthly newsletter is a bit shorter this time around. Such such, we want to give our subscribers a peek behind the curtain regarding what’s going on in the land of LINC.

Not only have two of our Leadership Team Members started new positions outside of LINC (hooray!) but we also did a much-needed task list restructuring. This will hopefully mean a more-balanced workload internally and more time for us to develop new programs and experiences as the LINC community grows.

It’s a period of transition and we are excited to keep things moving. We cannot wait to bring you new and exciting content.

Congratulations NPEL Program Winner!

The ‘Make a Scene Premier Scenario Festival’ is our first-ever winner of the NPEL Program.

Make a Scene! is a roleplaying scenario festival in the Twin Cities. They host a weekend-long celebration of novel live-action narrative games ranging from large to small, silly to serious, and abstract to personal!

Their last event took place in August/Sept 2022 and they currently have previous scenarios available in anthology form. They intend to use the NPEL Program to help fund sensitivity consultants for next year’s festival so keep an eye out for more great things from them.

Playable Theatre has been a supporter of LARPing in Color since our official creation. They’ve acted as our fiscal sponsor and helped us with software access, resources, and advice. In other words, they’re good folx.

The Playable Theatre Live Action Game Symposium takes place in multiple time zones December 3-4, 2022, and brings together interdisciplinary creators from around the world—from larp, interactive theatre, and pervasive games—to share knowledge, experience and techniques from this emerging artform. The symposium includes workshops, playshops, roundtable discussions, global round ups, and formal and informal networking/collaboration opportunities.
